The future, what a challenge! MyFuture @ a student fair in Italy
The end of the year is always a busy season for the career guidance in Italian schools. In fact, during this period there are always several guidance fairs for students who will have to choose their subsequent study path in the next few months or who has to face the world of work for the first time. These fairs are an important opportunity not only for schools or universities to present their educational offer but also for the guidance professionals they are moments to know and share new tools, methodologies and good practices in this demanding work to support the young generations to build their future path and to enrich their baggage of career management skills.
From 30th November to 2nd December was held the annual Job&Orienta Verona where Centro Studi Pluriversum was present with workshops for students and teachers. Teachers and guidance practitioners had the opportunity to know also the innovative ideas that the MyFuture project consortium are carrying out in these months.
In Ancona, the Marche Region was a protagonist of the Orienta-Marche guidance fair from 18th to 20th December, with the participation of Centro Studi Pluriversum. Hundreds of students visiting the fair had the opportunity to interact with guidance professionals through workshops and simulations. The young students, regular users of different digital media, found it very simple and in the meantime stimulating to use SORPRENDO career matching software with their smartphones to reflect on their motivations and personal interests regarding the various aspects of professions.
Some schools in Marche Region will take part in the national pilot actions proposed within the MyFuture project during the first months of 2018.
